We began performing ›The Pilgrim Age‹ last saturday, and it was a great pleasure to sing and play for our audience again. Please see the further concerts dates on the concerts page. See you soon, we're looking forward to you!
The photo is shot by our soprano Dorota one hour before the concert in the Berlin Osterkirche took place.

This is a very personal song about love and how long it may last. Furthermore it is about fearing to stay alone in old age. Some lines of the song are inspired by a painting by Caspar David Friedrich called "Die Lebensstufen" (The stages of life). It shows several ships heading for the shore: the farther they are away from it (the 'younger' they are ...) the more sails they have set ...

Part of the video shows Dorota and me in Potsdam again (is summer really that long ago?), this time in the area of the Friedenskirche. In the other part, Alexander filmed me alone in an empty Berlin flat, a few months later.
